All children follow a Living, Learning, Together programme which seeks to meet childrens personal, emotional, social and health needs. The PDMU programme also encourages children to become confident, independent and responsible citizens who are able to make informed and responsible decisions. The programme includes Relationships and Sexuality Education, Drugs Awareness, Anti-bullying and Internet Safety. Ballymena Primary is an officially recognised Health Promoting School and offers the Heartstart programme to all Year 7 pupils.
