Ballymena Primary enrols children between the ages of 4 and 11. Our approach to education emphasises both challenge and enjoyment. Children are provided with opportunities to research, to analyse and to solve problems through a rigorous curriculum which promotes Literacy, Numeracy, ICT, Thinking Skills and Creativity at its core.

Ballymena Primary was awarded Grade 1 status in a recent inspection. Please take time to browse our website and see the many exciting and innovative things that take place in our school.

Congratulations to the football team who were runners-up in the local 5-a-side competition
Congratulations to the junior and senior choral speaking groups who were placed second in their respective classes at Ballymena Music Festival
Congratulations to the school netball team who took third place in the local school's league
Congratulations to Ben McConnell and Ellie Hughes who won third place and to Rachelle Mitchell who took second place playing violin at Ballymena Music Festival
It's official! Following the accreditation visit by Prof Robert Burden we are now recognized as Northern Ireland's first and only "Thinking School"
