Ballymena Primary participates in the GLOBE programme (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) This is a worldwide community of students, teachers, scientists, and citizens working together to better understand, sustain, and improve Earth's environment at local, regional, and global scales. GLOBES’s mission is to promote the teaching and learning of science, enhance environmental literacy and stewardship, and promote scientific discovery.
At our school weather station a team of young meteorologists records rainfall, temperature, wind speed, cloud cover and other environmental data to share with GLOBE partners around the world.
