In the Foundation Stage (P1 and P2) we hold an image of the child as rich in potential and confident in building relationships. We promote positive attitudes and dispositions to learning. We encourage thinking skills, creativity, imagination and curiosity in our pupils. We also seek to develop pupils’ communication and numeracy skills as well as their physical and spiritual development. In addition to our classroom learning environments we are fortunate to have a Play-based learning unit which has been inspired by the Reggio Emilio approach to education in the early years.
