All teachers at Ballymena Primary contribute to the extra-curricular programme. Football, Hockey, Netball and Table-tennis are offered as regular sports activities. On occasions outside coaches help with mini-rugby, cricket or short-tennis.

A wide variety of non-sporting activities extend learning opportunities beyond the normal curricular time-table. These include choir, Gigajam (music keyboards), digital photography, cookery, wildlife club, Scripture Union and Ulster Scots.
