Environmental Awards

The David Bellamy Award for Environmental Cleanliness

This award recognises that, "Buildings and streets form most of the environment in which the children of this school will spend the rest of their lives. Maintaining this built environment is vital for our healthy development."
  • 2005/2006 Runner Up

In 2002 our school was the N.Ireland winner of the WWF "Our World Schools Challenge".

This Prestigious award resulted in £15,000 for school grounds development as well as the opportunity for Mr. Brownlow and Peter Burton, a P6 pupil, to represent WWF at the United Nations World Summit in Johanesburg.

The eco flag was awarded to our school in 1997, 1999 and 2001 for environmental projects involving paper and aluminium recycling, school grounds development and energy conservation. We are now a permanent Eco-School.

Awarded for Best Kept Medium School in the NEELB.
