Anti-bullying Policy
This is a brief summary of our Anti-bullying Policy as the current policy is being reviewed. As soon as it is amended the full policy will be uploaded.


At Ballymena Primary School we believe that our pupils have the right to learn in a supportive, caring and safe environment.

  • Bullying can be physical, verbal or indirect.
  • Complaints will be dealt with firmly, fairly and promptly
  • Help and support will be given to both the victim and the bully.

Procedure

  1. Bullies will be given a warning
  2. Loss of privileges
  3. Parents/guardians informed
  4. Suspension
  5. Exclusion

Bullying incidents must ALWAYS be reported.
Teachers will use positive teaching strategies across the curriculum to improve relationships and build self-esteem.
Ballymena Primary School’s Anti-bullying policy is part of the school’s overall concern to promote a healthy environment, good pastoral care and a positive approach to child protection.
